Web
Site Content
When you are considering
your web site, the content you provide is critical. It is important
to identify first the purpose of your site. If you are trying to draw
an audience of millions to a new site to entertain users, your content
will obviously be quite different to a site that is trying to sell (say)
machine tools.
Many of the self
appointed web critics tend to linger on the importance of compelling
content, exciting graphics, returning visitors and constant refreshing
of content. For a small business site, this is not always possible or
worthwhile. If you are a plumber, or a small guest house, you are trying
to convey a simple message quite quickly, so quantity is less important
than quality. Do not underestimate the effort required to keep updates
to a site current, so really focus on what your message is. Innovate
by all means but, keep it simple!
